Department of Mechanical Engineering

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

  1. Mechanical engineering is a discipline of engineering that applies the principles of physics and materials science for analysis, design, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. It is the branch of engineering that involves the production and usage of heat and mechanical power for the design, production, and operation of machines and tools. It is one of the oldest and broadest engineering disciplines.

Mechanical Engineering at CRVITS:

    • Mechanical Engineering discipline was introduced in the Academic year 2010-2011 with an aim to produce the best of Mechanical engineers from the Institute,so that they become one of the most successful Engineers in the field of the core branch of engineering -Mechanical.

    VISION

    1. Mechanical engineers are constantly pushing the boundaries of what is physically possible in order to produce safer, cheaper, and more efficient machines and mechanical systems. To fulfill the above, Mechanical Engineering department has a vision to :
    2. a)Impart knowledge on the Principles of Mechanical engineering inline with  the curriculum prescribed by the university.
    3. b)Impart and develop on the skills and agility required for the students to visualise practical situations and derive optimum solutions.

    MISSION

      • Aligning with the Mission of the College for imparting quality education, the department formulates a dynamic process of enhancement of the students’ academic growth through:
      • a)Continual improvement in the student academics
      • b)Providing an insight into the current trends in Mechanical engineering discipline.
      • c)Promoting an atmoshphere of building ethical values among students.
      • The Department imparts knowledge and training inline with the syllabus prescribed from time to time by the University –JNTUH , for Mechanical discipline and in the core courses like Engineering Drawing Practice, Mechanics for the students of all disciplines.
      • The Departments has the following well-equipped laboratories, All the Laboratories are located in spacious asbestos roof sheds and in proximity to the Main Building.

      Responsibilities of Department Faculty

        • As a teacher, a faculty member encourages the free pursuit of learning in each student; holds before the student the best scholarly standards; demonstrates respect for the student as an individual; adheres to the role of intellectual guide and counsellor; fosters honest academic conduct and assures that his or her evaluations of students reflect each student’s true merit; respects the confidential nature of the relationship between professor and student; avoids exploitation, harassment, or discriminatory treatment of students; acknowledges significant academic or scholarly assistance from students; and protects the student’s academic freedom
